SOLID AIR
By John Martyn
(Island)

John Martyn is a mumbler and if you're a lyrics freak, stay away from this one (SW 9325). He sings the words, and sometimes a listener can make them out, but not often.

In spite of that, the Scot folksinger had produced a fine album. His slurring style, which is almost a hum, blends in with the musical instruments, and his guitar alone is worth listening.
