Hiss On The Tape | Livin' Alone

1 Oct 1982
The Bottom Line:

Commercial single that did not sell.

Attempt by Warner to force a commercial success in the rock idiom.

Hiss On The Tape is identical to the album version, and 15 seconds shorter than mentioned on the label of the vinyl album (3:40 instead of 3:54). Strangely enough the longer version was used on all subsequent CD items. The difference is in the middle eight, which was shortened to a middle four.
Livin' Alone lasts 3:28.

sitenotes:
PounDA is hard to decipher but the monogram refers to mastering engineer Geoff Pesche, who worked at Tape One.
