The Bottom Line:
Anyone with a personal computer can produce a remix.
The track also pops up on a plethora of Dance samplers so I think you'll get the picture...
Two months after the original singles a Dutch only release emerged: a remix by Dutch DJ and composer Geert Huinink (Amsterdam). Even a video clip was made that featured on the Dutch TMF channel (The Music Factory, now owned by MTV). John did not appear in this one. For starters Huinink made a 9:03 version that was released on 12" vinyl on 30 April 2001.
01 | Deliver Me (Geert Huinink Mix) | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 9:03 |
02 | Deliver Me (Mix 1 - Original Mix) | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 7:49 |
No idea how they got the intelligence but 1 May 2001 the Australian edition appeared with five tracks on CDsingle:
01 | Radio Edit | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 3:04 | Edited by Bill Padley at Wise Buddah Music |
02 | Mix 1 (original mix) | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 7:49 | Remix by Ibi & Rollo |
03 | X-Press 2 Main Mix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:29 | Remix by X-Press 2 |
04 | DJ Pierre Hiver & DJ M. Hammer's 'Flight Over Hamburg' Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:04 | Remix by Patrick Wintter & Mario Hammer |
05 | Sister Blister (Ibi & Rollo's Tuff Mix) | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 6:43 | Remix by Ibi & Rollo |
The Dutch however had an undercover operation going on and struck back on 1 June 2001 with two new remixes on 12" vinyl.
01 | Lee Coombs Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:48 | Remix was only available by download |
02 | DJ Montana Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:14 | Remix by DJ Montana |
The Dutch then decided upon a massive surprise attack with a 7 track CD released simultaneously.
01 | Geert Huinink Radio Edit | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 3:40 | Remix by Geert Huinink |
02 | Radio Edit | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 3:04 | Edited by Bill Padley at Wise Buddah Music |
03 | Mix 1 (original mix) | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 7:49 | Remix by Ibi & Rollo |
04 | Geert Huinink Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 9:08 | Remix by Geert Huinink |
05 | X-Press 2 Main Mix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:29 | Remix by X-Press 2 |
06 | DJ Pierre Hiver & DJ M. Hammer's 'Flight Over Hamburg' Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:04 | Remix by Patrick Wintter & Mario Hammer |
07 | DJ Montana Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:14 | Remix by DJ Montana |
To consolidate the Dutch position Huinink produced a radio edit that was released 1 June 2001 as a single in a cardboard sleeve. John gets a lot more space on this remix.
The cover says "Released by Jive Records Benelux under exclusive license from Multiply Records." Notice the war propaganda implied by the word "exclusive" here...
01 | Geert Huinink Radio Edit | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 3:40 | Remix and additional production by Geert Huinink |
02 | Radio Edit | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 3:02 | Edited by Bill Padley at Wise Buddah Music |
One month later the Germans woke up and launched a July campaign of their own with four, you guessed it, REMIXES!
01 | Radio Edit | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 3:04 | Edited by Bill Padley at Wise Buddah Music |
02 | DJ Pierre Hiver & DJ M. Hammer's 'Flight Over Hamburg' Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:04 | Remix by Patrick Wintter & Mario Hammer |
03 | Geert Huinink Remix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 9:08 | Remix by Geert Huinink |
04 | Mix 1 (original mix) | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 7:49 | Remix by Ibi & Rollo |
Fighting on two fronts at the same time, the Germans threw in an extra vinyl 12 inch with yet another set of tracks. And a hand carved mold number RTD171.2711.0 PC16. Several experts are working on this code with an Enigma machine, so far without result.
A1 | Hiver & Hammer RMX | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 7:58 | Remix by Patrick Wintter & Mario Hammer |
A2 | X-Press 2 Main Mix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 8:27 | Remix by X-Press 2 |
B1 | Original Mix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 7:47 | This one's getting rare.. |
B2 | Geert Huinink Mix | (J. Marsh/ H. Marsh) | 9:03 | Remix by Geert Huinink |
Then it became quiet and to my knowledge there are no known survivors.
