This poster announced the concert at Leicester Polytechnic of Saturday 4th May 1974.
The design was done by a graphics student at Leicester Polytechnic, it was applied to all concerts of this period and was known as the 'Angels' design.
"Leicester Polytechnic presents | in Concert | Halcyon and John Martyn | 80p with N.U.S. in advance | £1 otherwise | 4 May at 8pm | Hawthorn Hall | R.O.A.R."

Poster Eltham 1973

This reconstructed poster mentions a concert on August 25th, with an admission of 60p. It took place at the Well Hall Open Theatre, in a small Eltham (London) park called Well Hall Pleasaunce. And it was part of a series 'Open Air Folk' organized by the Greenwich Entertainment Service.

Quite an elaborate piece of work; Brighton Poly, Wednesday 22th November 1972.
Show with Beverley and shared bill with Rain Maker and a ticket price of 50p..
Nice artwork also, with a Stalin like revolutionary role model.

This is an very early Dutch show, announced for Wednesday 12th April 1972. "John Martyn | English folksinger."
Diogenes was a well known Catholic Students Union in the town of Nijmegen, which has a relatively large student population. It was famous for its cultural activities but went bankrupt in 2005.

John was supporting act for the Strawbs at the University of York in the Central Hall. The gig took place Tuesday night, 27th April 1971 at 20:00 hours and the admission was 65 pence..

This poster was unearthed by Roy Apps, founder member of Heron. He remembers the occasion and meeting John Martyn well: "He’d just bought a new wah wah pedal that day and played through it a quite lot on the gig! We knew him pretty well in those days - great guy!!"
