"The poignant and beautiful Baby, Please Come Home is one of the highlights, but Martyn laughs off the uncomfortably personal lyrics: 'It really puts a spring in your step, that song.' Hilarious comments between songs and withering replies to one pathetic heckler threatened to eclipse his wonderful music, but a blistering version of John Wayne, complete with Neil Young-esque, apocalyptic guitar solos, brought the proceedings to a glorious ending." (Richard Babington)
