Stormbringer! (remastered & expanded)

John & Beverley Martyn
3 Oct 2005
The Bottom Line:

Well produced CD with interesting bonus material.

The 12 page booklet has sleevenotes by Mark Powell and some original photo material from the period. Also small pictures of single sleeves.

The CD itself is printed in pink Island label design.

The bonus tracks were recorded during a demo session at Sound Techniques Studios, Chelsea, 16 April 1969 and are previously unreleased.
One Of Those Days is a slow blues sung by Beverley and in spite of the sleeve credit, probably co-written by her.
I Don't Know is a more interesting song and typically JM from the period.

Universal released a Japanese re-issue 21 May 2021.
