Fly High is a terrific song from the album Thank You For. Apparently record company officials thought it had hit potential. So they went for a total overhaul in instrumentation, which was not a good idea.
The song was re-recorded as the album's 45 chaser and producer John Anthony flexed his muscles, killing off John Martyn's guitars in the process.
The track also featured girl backing vocals, arranged by some-time Beatles collaborator Richard Hewson. There is a reason why this version is very hard to find: Bridget herself did not like it.
